An update from Meg
Here's Meg's first blog!
**************************
Hey everybody !!
In the past few months, obviously, there has been much news to pass on, but I still hope to continue to pass on the latest and greatest from the newly formed Dreifuss family.
To all of you from near and far, thank you for being a part of our big day. Time and again, things got hairy, and yet, just as faithful was God's taking care of it all. Our wedding was nothing less than a spectacular demonstration of that. Though we are still digging through the stuff and trying to figure out if you were really there are not (the whole thing's still a blur), we have nothing less than an overwhelming sense of joy and gratitude to God and to you guys for making it all so wonderful.
Our honeymoon, for those of you that we haven't gotten a chance to catch up with YET, was to a bed and breakfast in Asheville, NC [Cedar Crest Victorian Inn]. We were blessed with hospitable road conditions on that Sunday to get to Asheville (a four/five hour drive from Raleigh) before it started getting snowy again. After staying at this B & B, we will avoid going back to regular hotels as much as possible. It was unbelievable. Every morning was another three course meal, another evening of homemade desserts. I was very grateful to not have to worry about fitting into my dress - because I'm not sure I could after our honeymoon. We also spent time at the Biltmore estate, and took a day trip to Gatlinburg (TN) to do some shopping. Overall, we had an incredible visit. It helps that we each had our best friend with us to goof off with. One afternoon even found us in an arcade shooting basketballs, playing air hockey, and putt putt.
And now we are back in Raleigh, and back in the swing of normal life. It's been a bit of an adjustment to have a real person telling me to get up in the morning, not just my alarm. Our house is .... well... in progress. We are still moving items from my old apartment, and are still trying to figure out where to put stuff from two different apartments. We have two of almost everything - two hand mixers, three stereos, a handful of clock radios, and on and on - and plenty of slotted spoons, to be sure.
And so goes life this week in the Dreifuss household. We have made progress on the master bedroom and the master bath, and this weekend hope to finish moving my stuff and tackle the kitchen. Life is good, sweeter together than apart.
Now ... what are you doing these days ??? We would love to hear from each of you !!
-- Yours in Christ --
Meg.

the Post-Wedding Wrap Up
What can I say? After much planning, pining, and primping; spending, sobbing, and snowing, the show is over.
Much fun was had, amongst the difficulties of the inclement weather. Had I not taken Thursday and Friday off, I would have been working from home. As it were, many of us spent a lot of time at the airport on Thursday [10 hrs for me]. Nathan Krupke, Deryck Kennedy, Jason Ferrell and myself played in the snow, played Dutch Blitz (a card game) and searched for gloves and interesting people while waiting to meet Nenna who came in on Delta from Atlanta.
The wedding was great. Family and friends made it memorable, and without them, we might not have had a wedding, or at least there would have been many elements missing. The reception was a blast, with a good number of folks shakin' up the dance floor, complete with a limbo line!
I will post more later, but to whet your appetite for wedding details, here is a picture taken by Mom Albertson:
