Amazing Race, Not-So-Amazing Weavers
If you watch this season's Amazing Race at all, you'll get this. If you don't, you still might get something from it.
I've been wanting to say something about the Weavers' onscreen witness for Christianity for a while, but just haven't gotten around to it. Well, Mark Jackson [Christian Pastor, Board Game player, and Amazing Race watcher] put it well. Check it out.

Biblical Wisdom in Pop Culture
Every once in a while, we see it. A reference (intentional or not) to time-tested wisdom from the immutable Word of God in a TV show, movie, or popular song. I believe that "All truth is God's truth" so it's no surprise that pop culture gets it right here or there.
My first entry: A phrase from "Everybody Wants to Rule the World" by Tears for Fears:
I can’t stand this indecision Married with a lack of vision Everybody wants to rule the world
Biblical Veracity:
Proverbs 29:18 (KJV) Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.

Claimbusters #2: Eat My Fresh Foot!
So Subway Claims that when you choose their subs, you're choosing the fresh alternative. Well, that may be true of their cheeses and cold cuts, but what about that watery chicken they pull out of the vat and the pasty bacon that they warm over in the microwave? Munch from the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.

IT'S A BOY!!
We wore our preferences on our sleeves - Meg wore a pink blouse and I wore a blue checkered shirt. Blue wins! The little guy was very active and made it a challenge for the ultrasound lady to grab pictures, but she's a pro and got some good ones. Click on the pics here to see larger views. You can also head over to our photo albums (go to the D4\Ultrasounds folder) to see all the Ultrasound pics from this morning!
